Burl wood furniture created by Meola Interiors, the Meola family story began in 1992 in Alife, a town in the south of Italy.  Their passion for antiques and interior design led to a furniture making business using burl wood. Burl (or ‘burr’) wood is produced from trees with irregular growth and is prized by makers due to its rarity and beauty. Located in a small warehouse, the business quickly became a success. Furniture was initially purchased by the Italian market, which was attracted by the high quality of construction and beautiful simplicity of each item. The Meola brand today is still owned and managed by the original family, combining the past aesthetic of Art Deco with fascinating contemporary design, it continues to create elegant and unique statement pieces.
